Frequently Asked Questions

At Qcare, we understand the challenges of working abroad. That’s why we’ve gathered the most frequently asked questions and answers—to help you find the support and information you need, quickly and easily.

Under the Universal Health Care Law (RA 11223), OFWs are required to enroll — at may benepisyo ka kahit nasa ibang bansa.

  • Sea-based workers – Seaman, cruise ship crew, o kahit sinong nagtatrabaho sa barko
OFW Tip: Kabayan, wag balewalain!

It’s simple! Your monthly contribution depends on your declared income:

Minimum Contribution:

• Monthly Salary Credit: ₱8,000 → Monthly Payment: ₱1,200 (15%)

• Ideal for new OFWs or those with limited budget

Maximum Contribution:

• Monthly Salary Credit: ₱35,000 → Monthly Payment: ₱5,250 (15%)

• Higher contributions mean bigger future benefits

Why Higher Contributions Matter:
  • Larger retirement pension payments
  • Higher disability and death benefits
  • Better sickness and maternity benefits
  • Increased funeral grant coverage
OFW Tip: As a voluntary member, you pay the full amount yourself—no employer share. But remember, the more you contribute, the better your pension and benefits later on!

  • If your salary is below ₱1,500 , You can voluntarily pay ₱100/month to start saving with Pag-IBIG.
  • If your salary is above ₱1,500 , You are required to pay 2% of your monthly salary to Pag-IBIG.
  • Salary ceiling raised! Pag-IBIG's maximum salary base increased from ₱5,000 to ₱10,000, so the maximum required payment is now ₱200/month.

Kung medyo maliit ang sweldo mo (₱5,000/month)...

• Hulog mo sa Pag-IBIG: ₱100/month lang (₱5,000 × 2%)

• Gusto mong dagdagan? Pwede mong i-voluntary add ang employer share: +₱100

• Total hulog: ₱200/month kung may employer match

• Sa loob ng 1 taon: ₱1,200 (kung ikaw lang) o ₱2,400 (kung may match)

Kung malaki ang kita mo (₱30,000/month)...

• Pag-IBIG will only compute up to ₱10,000

OFW Tip: Regular Pag-IBIG contributions not only boost your chances for loan approval and OEC processing, but also earn you annual dividends and tax perks in the Philippines — so keep paying and keep your records complete!
